ANABOLIC MIND SET
Anabolic Steroids Definition: “A group of synthetic hormones that are derivatives of testosterone, are used medically especially to promote tissue growth, and are sometimes abused by athletes to increase the size and strength of their muscles and improve endurance.” http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/anabolic%20steroid
Now here is a brief history on Steroids
Now here is a brief history on Steroids
Anabolic Steroids were developed in the late 1930’s to treat a condition know as hypogonadism. This condition is where the person dose not produces enough testosterone for normal growth, sexual functioning, and development. Scientist also discovered that steroids could facilitate the growth of muscle in laboratory animals, which later lead to the use of the compounds first by bodybuilders, and then by athletes in other sports. In 1954, at the World Weightlifting Championships in Vienna, Austria, a physician named John Ziegler was the team doctor for the U.S. The Soviets dominated the competition that year, easily breaking several world records and winning gold medals in every weight class. According to reports, Ziegler invited the Soviet´s team doctor to a bar and the doctor told him that that his lifters had used testosterone injections as part of their training programs. Whether that story is true or not, ultimately, the Americans returned from the World Championships that year and immediately began their efforts to defeat the Soviets using pharmaceutical enhancement. When they returned to the United States, the team doctor began administering straight testosterone to his weightlifters. He also became involved with Ciba, a large pharmaceutical firm, and began to synthesize a substance with strength enhancing effects that was know to be better than testosterone. In 1956, Methandrostenolone was created, and was later named “Dianabol”. http://www.steroid.com/History-of-Steroids.php
Do you think Dr. Ziegler intentionally invited the Soviet physician to the bar and got him drunk, to reveal his secretes?..
Types and Cycles
Types and Cycles
The different types of anabolic steroids are determined on how the steroid is administered into the body. Three common ways to use anabolic steroids are oral, transdermal and by injection. Oral is in the form of pills, transdermal steroids are applied by rubbing a steroid cream on your skin or using transdermal patches. Injectable steroids are probably the most common form of steroids and ted to be the most effective. These steroids are commonly injected intramuscularly, at places like the buttocks, outer thighs and shoulders. People are known to have the steroid injected in triceps and biceps among other areas of body, but this can be very dangerous.
Which method of administering steroids in your body do you think is the safest?
In todays
black market for illegal steroids there are tons of options. Most people
without knowledge of steroids, who desire to begin them normally, know nothing
about what they are taking. They usually tend to buy steroids according to what
they are trying to achieve. This might be ok in some situations this might be
acceptable. But I strongly recommend that you are highly informed on what
steroids you are using, before beginning them. In searching for information
online about the most common steroids I found a very helpful list on http://www.isteroids.com/Top_10_Anabolic_Steroids.html
I felt a strong need to incorporate this into my blog and elaborate on the
information. To help inform my readers on steroids that they have probably
heard of in the gym, or steroids that they may have even taken or considered.
Top 10 Anabolic Steroid's
1. Testosterone:
Testosterone is the main core steroid that you should not go without, and
should be used stacked with other steroids when on a cycle. When choosing a
testosterone, be aware that there are different esters of testosterone. For
bulking take testosterone enanthate, or cypionate. For cutting, use testosterone propionate.
2. Anavar: Is a steroid that is rarely used correctly and is
very difficult to understand its affects.
Most people who use Anavar take it during there cutting cycle to burn
fat, when in reality it should also be taken during a bulking cycle to help
with increasing strength.
3. Winstrol: Otherwise know as Winny, Winny- V, or
stanozolol. In terms of popularity Winstrol is one of the most widely used
steroid on the market today. Winstrol is mainly used during a cutting cycle.
Winstrol can increase your muscle mass, harden your body, and can give you a
good dry look. Unfortunately Winstroldoes have its downsides and can produce
severe acne, and dry joints.
4. Trenbolone: Sometimes called “liquid gold.” This is one
of the best anabolic steroid on the market, but along with the positives comes
major side effects. Trenbolone users typically receive serious fat loss, while
gaining hard mass. However trenbolone can cause serious liver and heart damage.
5. Deca Durabolin: One of the strongest most effective
injectable steroids for bulking up. Most Deca users report gains of 30-40lbs.
In a period of 12 weeks. Typical side effects are bloating, and water
retention. Along with a decrease in male sexual performance.
6. Dianabol: Historically the first Anabolic steroid.
Dianabol is typically used in a bulking cycle. D-bol will give you a bloated
appearance, but will result in major strength gains and size.
7. Equipoise: Is a good steroid for bulking and stamina
athletes, and is not recommended for cutting cycles. Equipoise helps to
increase appetite, but it also increases red blood cell count, vascularity, and
stamina.
8. Sustanon
250- is a blend of 4
different types of testosterone bases. Sustanon provides good muscle gains
during a bulking cycle, but causes a huge amount of water retention.
9. Clenbuterol: Is actually not an anabolic steroid, it’s a
prescription drug. Used mainly in Europe used for breathing disorders. But
bodybuilders use it during there cutting cycles to increase fat loss and
metabolic rates.
10. Anadrol: Is a very popular steroid with amazing
possibilities for muscle gains, but also comes with horrible side effects.
Anadrol abuse can cause severe, lifelong damage to your liver and your body.
That’s why most bodybuilder’s anadrol cycle is kept less than 5 weeks.

ORAL VS. INJECTABLE
Steroids come in one of two forms: Injectable intramuscular
or Oral tablets. When taking either form of steroids you should know proper
dosage and technique for taking them, also the difference between the two, and
what their side effects will be.
Oral Steroids
Oral steroids are commonly used for quick
results. This is because oral steroids
are in ready form and once they are ingested they immediately undergo the so metabolism and enter the
bloodstream. However the body cannot readily use injectable steroids because
the ester chain should be cut off first by hepatic enzymes before they can be
active. Another advantage of oral
steroids is their shorter half-lives, which means their metabolites do
not stay in the system for long. This property is what makes oral steroids the
choice by most athletes who undergo drug screening. Among the most popular oral
steroids are Anadrol, Dianabol, and Winstrol. Oral steroids however do have
negative effects to them. One of the common complaints with oral steroids is
that they can cause serious damage to the liver. Oral steroids that are alpha
alkylated contain 17 alkylation, which is added to improve the bioavailability
of oral steroids. Without this chemical alteration, drugs may not be able to survive the first-pass
metabolism of the liver. When taking oral steroids you should always use the
correct Mg dosage of the drug. And always begin your cycle with a lower dosage.
Injectable
Steroids
Most athletes prefer injectable steroids to oral steroids
for various reasons. The main reason is because injectable steroids pose lesser
health risks than oral steroids. The second reason is because injectable do not
have the 17 alpha alkylation that is found in most oral steroids, a chemical
modification that is injurious to the liver. Instead, injectable steroids have
esters to make them longer acting. Injectable steroids also have lesser side
effects compared to oral steroids sine they are chemically designed to bypass
the digestive system. This is why many long-term users of steroids prefer
injectable.
Injectable steroids can be oil-based or water-based. Both
types have much longer half-lives than oral steroids. And this is proving to be
a drawback for injectable steroids as they have high probability of being
detected in drug screening since their clearance times tend to be longer that
orals. Athlete’s resolve this problem by using injectable steroids early in the
cycle then switch to orals when approaching the end of the cycle and drug
testing is expected.
When using injectable steroids remember to inject them into
the muscle tissues, not into the veins!
Remember also to sanitize syringes, injection sites, vials, etc. to
prevent infection from occurring. When injecting the steroid fill the syringe
to desired dosage, then inject needle at 90 degree angle, into one of the three
common injection sites: Glute, shoulder, or ass. After syringe is empty, pull
out swiftly and apply pressure to injection site with an alcohol pad.

and needs?
